It’s time to ringfence the Navy
Global supplier of naval vessel equipment turns tighter security regulations into a unique business setup geared for faster production.
Keeping up with the constant tightening of security regulations can be challenging for any provider serving defence departments worldwide. But it can also be an opportunity.
Staying compliant with security demands
One of the leading providers of custom-made equipment and retrofit solutions for navy vessels, the Danish company SH Group, has created a unique business setup to offer naval clients a faster production while staying fully compliant with the global security regulations.
“We’ve served navies all over the world for more than three decades and have always been compliant with the security regulations in force. Recently the Global Intelligence Service tightened the regulations to stay compliant with demands, which calls for an organisational separation of our naval projects from the commercial part of SH Group. It’s time to ringfence the Navy business, so to speak”, says René Bertelsen, Director of the new business line, SH Defence.
SH Defence is a result of decades of turnkey equipment and service solutions to various national navies, delivered by the central organisation SH Group. The new department has its own in-house engineering department with state-of-the-art design tools, modern production facilities and test grounds operated by a highly experienced workforce with security clearance.
“The unique business setup we have made with SH Defence makes us able to run production faster under constant surveillance and secure dialogue between all stakeholders involved while meeting the security regulations. And we can quickly adapt to any nation’s security demands”, Director René Bertelsen ensures.
